GIRLGOALS Campaign
Re-thinking Football for Females.
Project Summary
I was asked to create a series of three posters to encourage young women to participate in the sport. The aim of this project was to push double standard boundaries and develop a meaningful campaign that reflects current affairs and issues.
The concept of ‘GIRLGOALS’ was created for young women to collectively increase their confidence, in a sociable and competitive environment. The project is centred around Luton, a town well known for its football leagues (which have predominantly been played in and enjoyed by males). In recent years, however, female interest has increased and as a result, women of all ages in this area have initiated their own teams. This poster series was so well received that I was approached by the Luton football club the marketing team decided to use them for future publications.
